Dear Revolutionaries,
Episode #5 of LIGHT WORK is about how we bring our ideals to bear on the world. I’m talking about how we can get justice, without incurring too much karma. About how to fight corruption without the anger burning us out. About the importance of being inclusive—to even the bad guys. I’m talking about how to be a revolutionary… for just love.
Here’s the trip:
- Where do we even start? (When the world is so messed up, and we’re feeling messed up because of it.)
- Why we have to resist going numb. Numbness leads to disconnection. Hopelessness is as common as violence. Think about that for a minute.
- The difference between anger and rage, and why we shouldn’t dismiss or repress the latter.
- My perspective on evil, and the value of having compassion for EVERYONE, like, on a Soul level but—still working for justice.
Oh, sweet fellow revolutionaries. This is a full episode. Thank you for being here. You are—we are—heartbreakingly beautiful. Go do right by Love. Keep doing the LIGHT WORK.
One Love,
. . . . .
Look for the Light Everywhere
An excerpt from LIGHT WORK, Episode #5
My friends—in the spirit of compassion and inclusivity: my known and unknown enemies—here’s to a revolution of consciousness, where we are all standing up for our ideals. Of what it means to be human(e)… Of making Love the priority—without apology—and backing Love up with action, with voice, with votes, with policy, with money. Love is always the right thing to do. In the spirit of faith, I offer this to you:
Look for Light with more intensity than ever.
In all the density and confusion that’s swirling on the planet, this is what it means to have Faith—Faith that you’ll keep finding the Light. But you have to keep looking.
Don’t waver in your gratitude for what is good right now and how many miracles happen—everyday. Refuse to go numb.
Use questions to build your strength. You will get angry. Some days you will be devastated. But even on the days when you might fail to be compassionate, please don’t let go of what you know to be true in your spirit bones: that compassion illuminates the darkness.
If you look with your Soul, you will keep finding the Light. Everywhere.
