Do you believe in magic?
It is often been said the world hears our dreams and is waiting to make magic happen for us. I have always believed in magic but since planning my wedding that belief has grown a thousand fold.
Over a year ago, I fell absolutely in love with the perfect wedding dress. At the time I saw it, I wasn’t ready to start shopping for a dress – plus it was WAY over my budget of $600. I put the picture in a dream wedding file and went along my merry way. Fast forward a few months and I started shopping for my dress and assumed that the dress I put in my dream file would still be available. I went into the store and found out it was no longer being made! I was so disappointed as nothing seemed to catch my interest even slightly close … let alone on track with my budget. I had no idea how pricey wedding dresses were! My goodness!
I found a dress that “would do” but I really didn’t want to have a dress that “would do” on my wedding day, so I took a deep breath and decided to stop looking for THE dress – just for a couple of weeks. I figured if I gave it a little space something cool would come my way that felt just right. I wanted everything on my wedding day to feel just right. Who wouldn’t?
A week after making this decision I got an email from the company whose dress I originally fell in love with. The email said there was something waiting in my cart. I was surprised to get this email – as I didn’t have anything in my cart from this company. When I opened the attachment, I saw a picture of my dress! What was this?! It must be a mistake! I clicked on it and the email said there was one dress left in stock. I figured it was a glitch in the system. Excited, I clicked the “buy now ” button and the dress popped into my cart. Here’s the best part … it was exactly $600!
How could this be? THE dress? My price?
I assumed I would put my credit card information in and get a message saying something that told me this was a big cosmic mistake, that it was really out of stock or the wrong size, something. A few seconds later a message popped up that said, “Congratulations on your wedding! Here is your order number!”
I wasn’t letting myself getting my hopes up as I assumed it was still a mistake – but I have to say I was getting pretty freaking excited to think that my dream dress was on its way! Three days later, my dream wedding dress arrived on my doorstep.
I wanted to share this story to inspire you to keep your head up high and your dreams expanding each and everyday. The universe hears our dreams and is waiting to make magic happen for us!
So whatever it is that you’re hoping for, keep hoping! You never know what’s right around the corner waiting for you.
