Inhale Self Love, Exhale Self-Criticism

Have you ever thought about how hard you can be on yourself?

Take a minute now. Start with a deep breath, and think about how many times, just today, that you’ve been hard on yourself. What about this week? This month?

When was the last time you chiseled out a little time in a day to take a deep breath and give yourself a break?

Try this … instead of listening to your mind tell you where you should be and how you could be doing so much better, take a deep breath and say to yourself, “Wow, I have been through so much and I really am doing the best that I possibly can do. I’m proud of you.”

If its been awhile since you’ve taken a moment for yourself, please use this as a friendly reminder to take some time for yourself RIGHT NOW to do just that. Close your eyes, take a deep breath – in through the nose and exhale out through the mouth. Now repeat the phrase you just said a moment ago on your next inhalation, “I have been through so much and I am doing the best that I can. I am so proud of you.” As you exhale out through the mouth, feel your body relax. Let your shoulders drop.

Repeat this inhalation/exhalation five to seven times along with the positive mantra above. When you notice your body beginning to feel more relaxed, it means that you are clearing stress that your body is holding onto and making room for positive change.

Healing yourself is such a natural process which begins with taking time and space to acknowledge how your body is relating and responding to your life. Your body is always talking to you, but its easy to forget to take the time to listen. As you remember to take this time and breathe consciously to connect, you will be more tuned in to your body. This will allow you to feel a deeper sense of confidence, empowerment, and optimism. This time and space created is the sweet spot for intuition and insight to guide you in your healing process.

Our bodies are so wise, may we give ourselves the quiet space to listen to them. @intuitionheals (Click to Tweet!)
