Introducing…Team Danielle. We are virtual, but very very real. So different, but all on the same page. There is another circle of freelancers and part time collaborators that we dance with. These are the main crew. My heart overflows…
Angie Wheeler
Director of Creative Development + Marketing Strategy
I live in: Sacramento, California
Years on Board: 8
Past Jobs: Computer repair technician, virtual assistant agency owner, graphic designer.
Side Hustles, Love Affairs, Interests:
My new thing is bird watching! It’s bringing out the explorer in me, and keeping me mindful on walks. When I’m not working or bird watching, you can find me in the kitchen cooking up something good (keto!) or cuddling with my fur babies (Dory, Monkey, and Belly)!
On a Typical Day…
I wake up at 4:30am, workout with my partner and walk my dog. I start my workday at 6am, by opening my planner to see what’s up (I plan my day the night before) and get on it. I start with the most creative, strategic stuff first. Everything that requires my brain at its bestest, like mapping out a launch campaign for The Love + Radiance Meditation Kit, or designing the product strategy for our 2019 Desire Map Planner collection. Later, I dive into emails and open messaging apps to let the world in.
After a quick jaunt with my pooch, Belly, the second half of my work-day is about getting organized and moving things forward.
When I’m working, I am 100% working—super focused, ALL in. No social, no news sites, no distractions. Doing this feels great and allows me to completely disconnect at the end of the day.
Best Part of This Gig?
I’m part of helping women around the world live more joyful and fulfilling lives. And Danielle is the most amazing visionary you could work for—her creativity and dedication to Love inspires me to be a better person every day.
Ariane Jade B. Padilla
Virtual Assistant
I live in: Butuan City, Philippines
Years on Board: 2
Past Jobs: Hotelier (Front Desk Clerk) for 2 years.
Side Hustles, Love Affairs, Interests: Cooking, music, and nature viewing.
On a Typical Day…
I turn on some music, and make a tasty breakfast (so that I feel like I’m staying at a hotel). Have a shower. Grab my computer, open my emails, Asana and start to work.
Best Part of This Gig? Working with the most amazing people in the universe.
Danielle LaPorte
I live in: Vancouver, BC
Years on Board: In this incarnation? About 8 years. Otherwise, this has taken lifetimes to get together.
Past Jobs:
In random order: bartender, apartment manager, exec director of a DC-based think tank for future studies, publicist + communications consultant, online business strategist/consultant, girl in the arena canteen who made hot chocolate, women’s clothing retail, perfume girl in department store, nanny, soap maker.
Side Hustles, Love Affairs, Interests:
Information visualization geek (think: Edward Tufte). I paint on big canvases. Manuka honey and rose oil connoisseur.
On a Typical Day…
I write. On my desk computer, on my laptop on my living room floor, I write on scraps of paper, I fill notebooks. I have exactly 258 partially written posts in Evernote. Countless notes on my phone. My job is to create programs, books, poems, posts, meditations, playlists and campaigns. I’m an opinion factory, essentially.
I try to be useful and encouraging via social media. I spend too much time on Instagram. I show up on Facebook Live on my good hair days. I jam with our incredible team coach. I obsessively review our Team Editorial Calendar. Tuesdays I have creative + strategy calls with Vic and Angie—we spend some of every day communicating and making fun of each other.
I try to help my friends with lewd jokes and genius business advice. If a friend needs help, I typically drop everything.
I map out podcast content. I stare at my inbox and wonder how everyone in the northern hemisphere got my email address. I approve of things…make suggestions for making something even more sincere, or utilitarian.
I do yoga and meditate almost everyday—sometimes for just ten minutes.
I consume massive amounts of information on digital publishing, Consciousness, art, and rock bands. I watch a LOT of documentaries. I make a lot of tea. I pray, all the time it seems. I do most of this while listening to music.
Best Part of This Gig? This phrase: “Let’s try it and see.”
Dee Bailey
Manager, Marketing & Communications
I live in: London, Ontario
Years on Board: 1.5
Past Jobs: Gymnastic Coach, Talent Scout, Jewelry Designer, Product Developer.
On a Typical Day…
5:30am wake up. Hit the gym, while listening to my fave Podcasts. A mix of everything from Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert to The Marie Forleo Podcast, with a lil’ marketing talk in between. I brew something warm, reset my diffuser with a mood boosting essential oil (obsessing over eucalyptus right now) and hop on my iMac to begin the magic.
I love that every day is different. I’m the Editorial Ninja, executing and organizing our marketing and launch campaigns. Everything you read or see from D or the Team—I’ve helped it be. I spend the majority of my day mapping out projects in Asana, loading things up on the blog, collaborating with heart centered beings, and manifesting beautiful emails and marketing tactics.
In the evenings I’m obsessively reading blogs, playing with my pup Huck, painting, hitting up a local yoga class, and journaling my deepest desires.
Side Hustles, Love Affairs, Interests:
Lover of music, yoga, fuzzy creatures, and all things pastel. Living everyday offering Serenity & Euphoria to others

Side Hustles, Love Affairs, Interests:
In college studying marketing management. Love interests: my kids (not biological), meeting with small youth groups. Bringing consciousness to this side of the world in the small ways and opportunities I’m given.

Years on Board: Newbie on the team…November 2017.
Past Jobs: Puppet wrangler, prep cook, party hero. Illustrator and rebranding designer.
On a Typical Day…
Matcha morning. Browse Dribbble and Reddit. Bug my partner and pug to go on a walk. Answer emails and check Asana for tasks. Go for our walk. Pet my new iMac and tell him “I love you” (his name is Totoro). Completely lose track of my day while making graphics in Adobe CC. Listen to audiobooks, low-fi, or pure silence. Take a hot bath. Make some food here and there.
Wind down around midnight and go to bed once Alan gets home.
Also, sprinkle in ridiculous amounts of tea breaks in day mentioned above. Fave teas right now: “duck sh-t tea” from Wu-Dong Tea and Genmaicha from Ippodo Tea.
Side Hustles, Love Affairs, Interests:
I still do rebranding and illustration after DLP work, I also do pottery for fun, and am learning more about chado (the Japanese tea ceremony, also called the Way of Tea) through my bowls and morning rituals.
Best Part of This Gig?
The team is amazing. Danielle is actually making a difference in the world instead of just talk. Also the little emails saying that I’m doing awesome always make my day brighter.
